Greetings! I am Dr. Mercedes Santana (she/her/ella) an Afro-Latine multicultural trauma psychologist, self-care expert, and career counselor offering self-pay services to adults 18+. It is critical that individuals feel safe, supported, and heard in therapy. I tend to integrate relational, cognitive, brain-based and somatic approaches where folks stories are honored within an affirming and liberating context. As well, I offer skill building and necessary coaching to help people meet their individual goals. I am in the ever ongoing process of decolonizing my practice, which brings a certain level of humanity and critical consciousness not found in traditional Western psychology. For career counseling, I offer interest/value/skill exploration, resumé tailoring, interview preparation, job search planning, and career planning services are available. I have graduate level preparation in vocational psychology and professional work experience as a career counselor.
